What's your favorite UT Rugby memory?
Opening the 15s season with a beating of Baylor.
Why did you start playing rugby? What are your favorite rugby memories before you started playing for UT?
I started playing rugby because I used to play soccer but I found it too boring. Then I started playing rugby and fell in love with the sport. My favourite memories before UT we’re playing rugby at the local club at home (RHRFC) and then playing at Monmouth School. Learning from truly great coaches in both programs and allowing me to truly develop my rugby knowledge.
What do you like the most about our program? How does it shape up to other programs you have been involved with?
I like the way that UT rugby really builds from the core out. So much of the focus allows you to work on your basics of the game, which in turn improves the more complicated elements. I also like the focus on the development of the new players and how quickly they are able to develop into good rugby players and are able to compete alongside experienced guys.
Favorite memory from UT in general?
Grabbing a big meal with the rugby guys after a game.
How has rugby shaped your Longhorn experience?
From traveling with the boys to games for the weekend to hanging during our spare time. It’s allowed me to form friendships with a community that I will never forget. It was such a welcoming group of lads and this year wouldn’t have been the same without them.
What do you plan to do once you're out of college?
Finish my final year back in Swansea and then hopefully get a job somewhere. Also, play some casual rugby in my spare time.
Advice for new players or any rugby player in general?
Just have fun. Rugby is a sport that anybody can play and for any level of physical ability.
Favorite food? Weird fact about you?
Sushi and I’m half Welsh.
